Google to release Operating program

Google have been rumored to have a Operating system in the "Works" to Compete with Microsoft's and Mac's operating systems, Could this be the Beginning of the end of the Domiinance of these two companies of the Operating system market and the beginning of an operating system war? Your thoughts?

Google are known for their simplicity rather than being robust. Take Google Chrome for example. It is extremely lightweight and very easy to use. I imagin their OS would be something along the lines of a Linux Ditribution rather than a brand new OS Framework. It would make a lot more sense as not many people would want to use a totally unfamiliar OS, especially when there would be no compatible software readily available for its launch. In my opinion Google would do much better to have their own Linux Distribution rather than a brand new OS.

well they said that they are realisng the OS cos no other OS was designed for the internet as it came afterwards so its been added on if you know what i mean so their new OS is being built with the interent in mind (bit like fiber optic internet was amde for the internet whereas the copper telephone line was'nt)
